On June 24, 2024, Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology and Earth Sciences, Government of India, launched the “One Week One Theme” (OWOT) campaign. This initiative showcases India’s recent success stories in various streams of Science and Technology, aiming to make innovation inclusive for all. The OWOT campaign, under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), is built on the success of the “One Week One Lab” (OWOL) initiative launched in 2023.
About the OWOT Campaign
- Objective: To highlight and promote India’s advancements in Science and Technology through weekly thematic presentations.
- Origin: Conceptualized by Dr. Jitendra Singh, the campaign is a continuation of the OWOL initiative, aiming to further engage the public and scientific community.
- Focus: Each week, a new theme related to scientific innovation and achievement will be showcased, emphasizing the inclusivity and accessibility of these advancements.
